Mr. Wang contacted Warmth Custom Three Weeks Before His Girlfriend’s Birthday to customize a unique ceramic cup for her.
His girlfriend is a seasoned Labubu fan, with phone cases and keychains often featuring Labubu elements, but Mr. Wang found regular items too mundane.

02 – Design challenge
Design challenge: How to transform “two-dimensional shape” and “lifelike feeling” into one?
The design team proposed three creative directions during their first communication:
IP element recreation: Avoid directly copying La Bu Bu, instead extract its iconic actions (covering face, heart eyes) and integrate them into the cup design
Emotional symbol implantation: Present photos or text from their relationship (such as the first meeting date, nicknames) using ceramic painting or relief
Function detail optimization: Cup shape matches the girlfriend’s holding habits, and the glaze color of the cup and saucer enhances the color of the tea
Customer feedback:
“She doesn’t like overly flashy designs; she prefers something subtle yet noticeable. We mentioned our memories of watching ‘Work Cells,’ and the designer came up with the idea to hide it as a surprise at the bottom of the cup!”
03 – Creation Process
A “two-way pursuit” from nothing to something
Step 1: Style Positioning —— Gentle and Comforting Final main visuals:
Cup body: Labubu wears a travel outfit getting ready to set off
Colors: Blue-and-white porcelain color separation display
Materials: High-temperature smooth glaze to recreate hand-painted texture
Step 2: Embedded Emotional Password
Present a silhouette of their travel photo in gold foil cameo on the bottom of the cup
Inside the cup, there is a handwritten Japanese sentence “I will always be by your side” hidden
Step 3: Craftsmanship Breakthrough
Using a high-temperature firing process at 1300 degrees:
