Yes, please rest assured. Warm Things Studio is rooted in Jingdezhen. All products are crafted using locally sourced, premium kaolin, adhering to traditional techniques, with production, painting, and firing completed entirely in Jingdezhen. Each piece carries Jingdezhen’s millennium of porcelain heritage.
Hand-painted pieces are created personally by our artists, featuring natural, fluid brushstrokes with subtle variations in line thickness and color depth—making each one unique. Decals (printed transfers) are mass-produced pattern stickers with uniform textures and overly precise edges.
You can distinguish them through close inspection: hand-painted lines may show slight tremors and ink penetration, while decal patterns appear flawless and identical. We guarantee that all items labeled “hand-painted” come with photos or videos documenting the creation process.
Our pricing is based on the following factors:
Process complexity:: Hand-throwing and underglaze painting require more time and effort compared to standard slip casting.
Painting difficulty: Intricate designs (e.g., landscapes or figures) take significantly longer to paint and demand higher skill than simple patterns (e.g., geometric lines).
Artist level: Works personally painted by Master Yang Jinbao hold different value than those created by his apprentices.
Firing method: The cost of precious wood-fired kiln firing far exceeds that of standard gas kilns.
